After a really comfortable night in our motel, the Staybridge Suites, which has a mini kitchen, king sized bed and small lounge area, we were ready for our day at The National Automobile Museum in Reno which is said to be among the best of its kind in the world. It features cars from the dawn of the automobile through the present day. It is also called The Harrah Collection as most of these cars were from the personal collection of William Harrah, famous Reno casino owner before his death in 1978. The Museum is divided into four main galleries, each decorated for the era and featuring cars you would have seen during that time period. Collections of vintage clothing, accessories, and auto-related artifacts are found throughout the museum. The audio tour made the tour a real experience.
Summit Racing, where we bought our parts from yesterday was having a Friday cruise night, so we decided to call in and take a look at what cars Reno had to offer. A cool night but still a pretty good show of about 80 street cars and hotrods. Dinner at In''n'out burger then back to motel to drown in the spa & pool!!
