Last few finishing touches before setting sail tomorrow. We have been held up because our insurance company have insisted on a survey, like a five year mot for yachts, the last part, a gas safety check to be done at 08.00 Monday morning. We have become Grandparents this year to little Charles George so after being somewhat distracted we have now booked our Ferry leaving on the 20th. It's about a 700 mile drive back to the boat, we are driving over as we have got so much stuff to take. On the boat front we have to have a survey this year for the insurance company, also we are having a new Genoa sail made so fingers crossed that these have been done. We are now safely in the shed ( halls ) for the winter, all the water out, and everything left tidy. It's going to feel very strange not being able to pop down and do some work on the boat. We have arrived here in Fehmarn after a hard 47 mile sail to windward. Everything is in place for us to be lifted out of the water on Thursday, we then have a few days to winterise the boat before flying home on the 2 nd.
