After waking up from a good nights sleep, we headed down for breakfast at the hostel. The owner (his name is Charlie, but all the staff call him Uncle...so that's what we decided to call him also) greeted us with a hug and ushered us over to the breakfast table for tea and toast! He was hilarious as he was about 70 years old, 4 foot nothing with literally only one tooth in his mouth and for that reason could hardly speak a word, in Malaysian or English! We loved him! He told us how much he loved Pit Bull as he gets to be surrounded in pretty girls in bikinis...bit weird! We hired some bikes for the day and cycled around the old part of George Town to look at all the Street Art. It started after an arts festival in 2012 so it's all fairly new. It was absolutely boiling and we were sweating buckets so we stopped off for a drink after an hour of cycling. We all had ice tea, we literally can't get enough of it! Just as we were about to leave the little cafe, a local man came over to me and asked if he could have a picture, I tried to pretend I didn't really understand but he was so persistent, I thought 'oh go on then!', but then a second guy asked for a picture and it all just got very awkward. The girls were sat the other side of the cafe laughing and filming...just fab! After keeping the fans happy, we made a quick dash for the exit and set off again on our bikes to look for one last piece of street art. Once we had finished looking at all the street art, we headed back to the mall. I love malls but it was starting to feel like we were there all the time. We went back to Starbucks to use the wifi and we all got cookies from subway to dip in our tea...how very English of us! Masa and I had a Subway and Sarah had sushi. We all still have a bit of food poisoning so we weren't really helping ourselves but it's hard to resist fatty food when your travelling round all the time. We then cycled back to the hostel to drop the bikes off. We had a race down to the end of the road and then decided that actually we wanted to carry on for a bit so we continued to cycle round. We happened to come across a night market and food court so we thought we'd stop off to have a look. Just as we were about to leave, we saw a big group of people from the hostel we were staying at walking into the food court. One of the guys had tried to contact us to ask us to join but we weren't in wifi, it was a good job we saw them. We decided to go back in and have a drink with everyone while they ate. We got a lot of stick for eating western food so we promised ourselves that we would try an venture out a bit tomorrow. We all left at about 11 pm and made our way back to the hostel. Everyone in the group seemed pretty awesome so we were hoping to meet up again at some point. Masa and I watched an episode of the Kardashians, I FaceTimed mum and then...bed!
