Home today! After 18 amazing weeks of the trip of our lifetime, we were making our way back to London! Although I could definitely keep going if we had the money to, I was really excited about going home. We'd had the best time but I was looking forward to a bit of routine and structure for a while, doesn't mean we won't be back though!
Our midday flight to Moscow was long and not so comfortable. There were some of the worst turbulence I've ever experienced. Moscow airport was interesting, but not the friendliest of places in all honesty. However, on a random note, their chocolate bars were absolutely huge... every cloud!
The flight back to London was only 4 hours long and I was glad as I was so exhausted and just wanted to get home to see my family! Landing back on home soil was such an euphoric feeling! We were through customs in no time to find Sian and John waving us into the arrivals area! After hugs all round, we made our way back to my house. Mum and dad had banners up outside which made me feel all warm and loved when I saw them! After wading through the balloons at door, seeing mum and dad was amazing, I'd missed them so so much! We chatted about normal day to day things which was nice but we had so much to talk about! They knew most of what we'd been up to anyway as we spoke nearly everyday. Mum had organised my room and put little welcome home gifts on my bed which was adorable! Matt was staying at mine for the next few days before heading home, we had to wean the separation after 18 weeks together 24/7.
I would sleep so well tonight in my own bed and I was looking forward to mum's welcome home feast tomorrow! This incredible adventure with my favourite person will never be forgotten! So, until our next adventure...Goodnight!
