After scrimping and saving for the past year, today we're off! We're not sure exactly how long our trip is going to be now due to funds but whatever we do, we'll do it well! My last day at home, I didn't have too much planned just dinner with Mum, Dad and Jack then we were leaving for the airport. Well at least that's what I thought! Mum and Dad had other ideas. They had arranged a surprise meal at the Weaver Shed in Bradford on Avon with all my close family and friends! It was an amazing surprise and I was chuffed to see them all before I headed off. I will miss them all loads. After the meal, we set off for the airport. We met Matt halfway and said our goodbyes to Sian and John.
We dropped Jack off at the Birmingham train station, he managed to leave his house keys in the car, but of course that didn't bother him... it's jack, he'll just have the locks changed! After Matt ran down the train station screaming 'Jack your keys, you left your keys' and jack not even stopping to acknowledge him, Matt got back into the car... this was it!
After checking in (definitely recommend checking in online beforehand), I said my emotional goodbyes to Mum and Dad once again. I speak to them daily so not being able to so freely will be hard but we always manage to stay in close contact. I will miss them both terribly.
Once through security, we headed straight to the VIP lounge Mum and Dad had kindly booked for us as one last bit of luxury. Obviously I made the most of it and consumed as much as I possibly could as well as wrapped various cakes and pastries in napkins and stuffing them into my bag ready for the flight... I'm my mother's daughter!
After an hours delay on the Tarmac, we were off!!! 8 hours of films and hopefully some sleep before hitting the hustle and bustle of Delhi!
