Aged Travellers
Up early, but initial disappointment as the cable car was still closed, so we started on plan B and caught the bus to the Jewish Museum to see an exhibition on the life of Helen Suzan, a very brave lady. When we came out we saw the skies had cleared and the cable car was operating. Another quick change of plan and we made post haste to the terminal. It was really worth the effort with some terrific views over the city. The temperature had by this time had risen considerably. Because of the rapid change of direction we had to catch a taxi back to our next stop, a community organised tour round the Imzomo Vehtu Township. The taxi driver was voluble in his condemnation of the current government and also of the Afrikaners. The walk was tiring, depressing and the apparent lack of resentment against the white population was remarkable.
We are shortly heading out once again but this time for a straight forward steak meal.
Tomorrow we board the Rovos Railway so the news may stop if Wi-Fi is not available.
