Hi everybody..

As you will see from my photo albums i have been sailing the whitsundays and snorkelling the barrier reef for 3 days and 3 nights... it was incredible. You can see from the photos how amazing the views were and how blue the sea was. It was amazing and i find it really hard to do it justice explaining how beautiful it is in words.

Highlights for me..... has to be waking up on sunday morning on my own early enough to see the sun rise over the water... with nothing in view on any direction apart from blue sea. Saw dolphins too!!! The snorkelling was incredible... before you come to oz you see the pictures and read the text about the barrier reef the coral and the fish but it still took my breath away seeing it for real. The colours of the fish to start with- almost cartoon like if you get me. Somehow not believable a little bit!!!

I also saw a turtle and that was the most amazing experience... we got really close to it and swam and followed it for a while. Those creatures seem to be the most chilled out animals i have ever seen. Crusing along with the current he was without a care in the world!!! To be fair so were we!!!!

Today left Airlie Beach and got on the open road! Travelling on your own back at your own speen by car really is the best way to see oz. Although we were heading down the East Coast... probably the biggest populated place in australia lets be honest.... we still drove through miles and miles of just trees, forests, hills, kangeroos, oh and also random road signs which are going to be good fun. In the middle of nowehere you come across a School Bus Stop sign... having not passed civilisationfor maybe an hour!!! Brilliant.

Now set up camp at a place called Rockhampton and then tomorrow back on the road to head for Fraser Island. We hope to get to Fraser tomorrow. aLL EXCITING STUFF!!!!

As i logged on here tonight the website told me i can get a paper copy of this site when i get home from my travels- that would be really nice... however maybe expensive!!!!

I also just want to clarify from my message board (Yes Ben this is directed at you!!!) i did not get COMPLETELY disqualified from jelly wrestling.... i like to think of it as more of i was given a warning!!!!!!!!!!
