We spent Saturday relaxing -Peg decided to catch up on the ironing whilst Liz was working Sat morn at the Library. Peg decided Liz's iron was not very effective and took Greg off to buy her a new one. Upon Liz's return from work at lunchtime , we discovered Liz had the same opinion and already bought a new iron - so the next time you see Liz, just call her 3 iron Liz.
We spent the afternoon teaching James and Greg to play cribbage and later we with Liz and Greg walked down to the local pub on the harbour front for our aperitif and watch the sunset. Peg produced a roast for our evening meal which therefore meant that we finished some what late.
At 4 in the morning the deadly quiet of the night was shattered by the pinging from Peggy's fone. As I crashed around the bedroom and struggled to locate the fone, Peg woke up - "what's wrong" "Your fone's ringing" Peg rummaged around in her hand bag to find out what catastrophe was causing calls at 4 in the morning. Having tried blearily to read it , she handed it to me . Yes - I cried - we have beaten Leicester Tigers!! I don't think she was too amused.
Having got back to sleep we were woken at 6 by a real rain storm, - only to be told by Greg when we all got up, it was just the garden watering system which comes on at 6am on a Sunday morning!
Have ignored reading Calcutta cup reports!
Woken to another sunny day with me, Liz, Greg and James all fighting to get on the laptops!!.
