Douglas Brown's Travels
A truly lazy day. After breakfast this morning I lay on one of the beach sun lounges under an umbrella and caught up on my blogging and emails. My fellow tour partners slowly emerged from their rooms and many either longed around or went for a swim in the crystal clear sea. Our hotel is once again on the side of a hill leading down to the waters edge and has waiter service all the way to the water line. A perfect setting for a day of recuperation. All of our party has now recovered from their illness so we will be back to full riding strength tomorrow. At midday I took the hotel shuttle bus into the town of Hava for lunch. In the central square is a string of restaurants and without much effort I stumbled into one and had pizza, salad , coffee and gelati for lunch. It is a very attractive little town with a medieval fort on the hillside above the town. The real intrigue is wandering through all the narrow side streets taking in the roman architecture. The marina was alive with people playing basketball, walking, sipping coffee or boating. It is children's day in Hava so I think every child from far and wide had descended on this little town. I purchased a data SIM card for my ipad so that I now no longer need to rely on free wifi to do my blog updates. Internet access at very fast speed is extremely cheap here and free high speed wifi is available at every coffee shop. Australia needs to take a big lesson from Eastern Europe. I am now back on my sun lounge writing my blog. Life is good :)
