Full day trip to Delphi yesterday. Went past Thebes where Oedipus was born and came to a sticky end. Even saw some sheep and a shepherd's hut which looked just like it would have then. As we started climbing the mountains it started to snow. Beautiful huge flakes. It snowed on us all day until we descended into the valley again. We went through a small village where they sell handicrafts - furs, embroideries, pottery and some of the furs were out in the street...

We flew across to Athens today. As we started descending I got the most awful earache. I tried the usual - shewing gum, popping ears etc, but it was so incredibly painful the I was desperate for the flight to end. We have a few days in Athens. Tomorrow we go on an all day tour to Delphi then Sat and Sun we can explore the Acropolis and the museum and various other must-sees.
