Utah was awsome. We got into town pretty late after driving all day and when we got there it was so good to see Kim and Carly again. They have a pretty sweet house with the mountains right next to them. You kind of get use to it, but when I first saw those mountains there in the day time, I was amazed. Anyways, so they all already had made plans to see the 3rd Pirates of the Carribean movie on its opening night (that night at midnight), so we went with and tried to stay awake through it all. I couldn't believe how many people were lining up outside for this movie, but they we're there all dressed up and everything.
Kim and Carly live with 3 other girls; Holly, April, and Becka.......all of them are super awsome. The more we got to know them, the more we liked them. They all work at the same restaurant, so there's always someone at work, if not all of them. That kinda made it hard to hang out at times, but we made it happen.
Our first big night involved going to McGraths where the girls work, and hangin out while getting hooked up with drinks. Goood on ya Carly. After they got off work, we went back to their place and partied it up for a little bit before hitting some hotsprings which Pat told us about. And there's another thing..........there were at least 3 Pats floating around while we were there. I've never been around so many in my life. The Pat who took us to the hotsprings was a friend who use to work with Carly and was passing through town and was also staying at their place. He lives in Long Beach, and thats where we are now, staying at his place. Anyways, we went to these hot springs which turned out to be more like a big warm swamp puddle. Not that anyone cared at the time though. There was a lot of fun going on that night.
Carly also told us about this house in Salt Lake that was going to be torn down, but a bunch of artists had got together and totally worked their magic on decorating it. We went there twice, the first time we couldn't get inside, but the second time we went (the last day it was open before they tore it down) we managed to talk our way in but we were only allowed in for a few minutes. Inside was awsome though......each room had a different theme and no corner of that place was left untouched. It was really an amazing thing to see, and also kinda sad that it was going to be torn down.
Another fun day included me, Chris, Ani, Kim, and Apri going to this Boondocks place where they ad all these cool things to do like lazer tag, mini golf, batting cages, go-karts, a rock climbing wall, and arcade games. That was a really fun day. I think lazer tag created the most hardcore fun. After that we went into SLC and saw the Mormon temple which was amazing, and then went and had the biggest pizza I've ever seen in my life. I can't remember how big it was, but I've got a pic of it. It might have been 24 inches. Five of us only got through about half of it.
So Provo was awsome, and the girls were even more awsome. We'll probably see them again on the way up to Wyoming.
