Welcome to my last blog in Ecuador!

I officially have 2 days left and then will be heading off to Lima, Peru to meet my mom and then off to Cusco to hike Machu Pichu and spend some Mother-Daughter time!! J The program has been amazing and a great experience! I have learned as well as grown so much as a person; and have gained knowledge about another country, their culture, and their healthcare system. I believe this experience will shape the way I practice medicine and will have an effect on my outcome once I graduate from PA school. I am very thankful to have had this opportunity!

This week we went to a bull fight here on Monday and were very lucky and happened to see the top 3 bullfighters in the world for $20 a ticket! We had incredible seats and it was remarkable…however something I think I only need to experience once. I did feel sad that the bull diedL. However, the meat feeds a ton of people who need it which makes the situation a little better. I have posted some pictures of the event! While we were there Julie and I also got interviewed on Ecuadorian TV!!! J He asked me questions about my time here in Ecuador, if this was my first bull fight, if I was excited, if I liked the food, had I traveled around, how many more weeks/days we had left, etc. It was awesome. He said they would be airing it on television tonight, but we didn't know what time or anything…so we weren't able to watch it. But still, I was on TV!
