Brie & Trent's Travels
Today was amazing. Got up to another room srvice breakfast at our hostel and then headed over to the market here to pick up some stuff for lunch. Foccacia bread, provolone, and tomatoes. So good. We climbed up to a little park area overlooking the citywhich was great. After lunch there Brie was a little tired from the heat, so I ended up walking back through this awesome rural-like area that was nothing like the Florence city center. It really felt like the idyllic Tuscan countryside back there, as I meandered through little village areas and parks and strolled by mini farms. It was so much quieter and peaceful there, I loved it.
Wealso hit up the big museum here in the afternoon, the Uffizi. It was very big and here were a lot of famous artworks there by Raphael, Da Vinci, Botticelli, and even Rembrandt. We got some more of our favorite gelato (seriously the best chocolate ever) before heading back to the hostel for siesta. For dinner tonight we ate at this place we were told about called Yellow. Very good pasta and pizza. In a little bit I think we are heading over the this big festival they are having here with food and music, all inside this big castle thing. Should be fun. Tomorrow we head for Cinque Terre and I can't wait to be by the ocean again. Hope you're all doing well. Kepp sending us messages!
