Hola lovelies!
So again it has been a few weeks since we have last written so just a little update about what we've been up to.
I think we last wrote in Florianopolis which was in Brasil. We stayed in Floripa for 5 days and had a laugh, but the weather was really s***ty so we weren't too dissapointed to be moving on! We got the night bus from Floripa to Iguazu with Lily and Zahra (our Salvador friends) which got into the Brasilian side of Iguazu in the morning. From there we had to do the border crossing on foot to the Argentine side, where the men were instantly more attractive so we were pleased to arrive!
From there we got a local bus to a hostel called 'Hostel Inn' (very imaginative), where we stayed for 2 nights with the girls. The hostel used to be a casino so was really big and had a massive swimming pool in the middle so we enjoy the weather. On day 2 we caught the local bus to Iguazu falls which were only about 15 minutes away from us. We also did a safari tour which took us right into the jungle where we saw monkeys, toucans and got to swim in the waterfalls (pictures up already), which was gorgeous. The falls were fabulous, i've never seen anything like it in my life. It's so mesmersing part of you wants to just jump in, especially at the Devils Mouth.
Iguazu town is dead boring so the next night we caught the 18 hour bus to Buenos Aires which got in on Mothers Day. Holly and I were staying with my Godfather, Andres, but the girls were staying at a hostel called the Milhouse so we all went there first and then Holly and I came here, which is in an area of town called Recoletta which is really beautiful and also home to Evita's grave.
We had plans to go to Mendoza and also to the glacier but for money reasons we had to sack both of those off. Not that it has been much of a hardship staying here for 3 weeks!! We met another lovely (and hysterical) girl called Gemma who is from England and travelling on her own so the lot of us spent quite a bit of time together. There are also photos of some of the other girls we met at the hostel (Me, Holly, Lily, Zahra, Gemma, Teeny Weeny, Anne) and the lot of us had a few nights out together. BA is such a party city, but unlike England the clubs don't even open until 2 and if you get there before 3 they are a bit dead; so most nights we would go the hostel for their 'party nights' and then head off out to some clubs (including Pacha, which was a laugh..).
Some how, Holly and I managed to befriend every member of staff at the Milhouse hostel which resulted in getting free drinks almost every night (fatal), and last night the 3 of us were awarded Milhouse Staff T-Shirts!! I have also been offered a job, and Gemma was offered marriage for a Green Card. Both of which are hard to say 'no' to...
But it has got to the point that taxi drivers know our names and when that happens you know it's a sign to leave. So it's Tuesday lunch time and I have just finished packing my stuff up and and watching and laughing at Holly who is failing to pack hers. Poor little lamb. So we laeve here at 4pm and fly at 8pm to Atlanta where we arrive in the morning. From there we fly to JFK and then tomorrow night we have an overnight from JFK to London where we will be seeing our lovely family! We really can't wait to see you all, although we have been talking about it and it feels so weird. Also it marks the mid point of our trip which saddens me greatly! But on Friday we arrive in Delhi which will fab, and we're very much looking forward to.
Anyway, by for now. We need to quickly go and cause some more trouble to put out final mark on the City.
Love to you all, xxxx
P.S Buenos Aires is bloody fabulous. You all must come here.
