WOW! What an amazing wedding day. I couldn't have designed it better myself! There are so so many words which could describe The Seychelles and our wedding experience; opulent, decadent, special, unique, amazing...... I'll never forget our wedding.
We started the morning with a sumptuous breakfast of freshly made omelette with sausages, then we went back for crepes and maple syrup with coffee and fresh mango juice. Then we went for a walk up to what we thought was a look out point but it was a helipad, we thought it would be amazing for wedding photos and luckily we were taken there on a wedding buggy as well as other beautiful scenic places.
Precilla, the fabulous wedding coordinator picked Tom up at 1 to get ready at the fitness suite allowing me to get ready on my own. Tom still hadn't seen my dress so this was great. At 2 Precilla came to tie me into my dress and I continued to get ready a my leisurely pace, lovely and relaxed :) At 3, she arrived back with the photographer for some pre wedding photos and led me to the beach where Tom was waiting with his back to me, all part of the direction. They were saying, 'Don't turn around, she's coming', he and I were both do excited. We video'd it with Tom's camera but the photographer took about 270 photos apparently. (sorry about some spelling mistakes, not me but iPod thinking it knows better than me lol)
The wedding ceremony was beautiful, Tom looked so handsome, that's my husband I'm talking about :) I had some polo shirts made up for us with Mr. and Mrs. Bridge........ he said he was chuffed as a butty on acid :) we wore them for our wedding dinner much to the delight of everyone who saw us. We had lots of congratulations from staff and guests which was lovely, neither of us particularly like to be in the limelight but the attention made it all the more special.
Our wedding dinner was just truly wonderful. We were asked if we wanted champagne or cocktails, I quite fancied a cocktail and Tom the same, so we said let the batman make his speciality, he made 2, a gin and a vodka based, really lovely. We were given canapés of smoked beef in papaya sauce and smoked fish in a mustard and mango sauce while we drank our cocktails. This was all at a surprise location, we didn't know where we'd we be taken. It was to the exclusive Cyann restaurant. We had our own private waiter. He led us to our table on the beach, the way was lit with red candles, just so special and romantic. I have never tasted food like it, I understand why people pay stupid money for Gordon Ramsay's food, It's a different experience entirely, a totally different taste experience. We have our personalised menus as a keep sake. Well today we're chilling out, Tom (my husband :) ) is chasing Day Geckos up trees and going all David Bailey with his camera :) It's half 12 here, I'm going to read for a bit and chill, it's the start if our honeymoon now!
