We made it to Edinburgh last night. Our flight from New York was delayed by three hours, but there were no other problems. Something that I never considered was that the days here are so much longer. The sun rises at 4:00 am and sets at 9:30 pm. it stays light outside until about 10:30. The rooms are comfortable, but are designed in such a way that they do not need airconditioning or heat. Last night I took a bus ride around town, and was not sure where I was. After getting lost on the bus, then getting back, Katie and I decided to walk to the Royal Mile. It was great. We were able to see Edinburgh Castle and some really great views. I like hearing the people talk, and getting to know their culture. For my Delmar Middle School students: I bought some fish and chips for dinner last night at The Clifton. the meal cost £3.75. How much would my meal equate to in American dollars if the exchange rate is £2 to one dollar?
