I went to Pinkberry last night...not as good as Grom. Liz & Sara come today!! Yayyy! I'm so excited. So I'm sure there will lots to write after they leave! On that note, on to the day!

Happy 4th of July! Tonight there was a cloud of smoke above my neighborhood, but this time because people were celebrating America. It seems fitting to be in New York on the 4th. This city is so patriotic, so American. I watched fireworks from the South Street Seaport, which was insanely packed. In my view were an old ship and a couple American flags (see the pictures). A lot to catch up on... Last Friday I ran an errand for work (bring clothes to a photo shoot) and on my way back to the office my cab driver asked where I was from. I said Boston and he said he could tell. My initial thought was "huh? My accent isn't that bad." But then he said I was too nice to be New Yorker. Some people might disagree. This week has been kind of rough work-wise. A lot of long days. Tonight, though, Lindsay and I went to Grom in Lincoln Center. Now we know why it always has such a long line. The gelato was amazing! It was very expensive (I will forever miss Richardson's at home) but damn was it good. I got cinnamon and it was heavenly. And, very exciting for me (because I'm a dork)...we finally found a real grocery store (Food Emporium). No more of this local market, super expen...
