Mumbai is one crazy city. It's our first stop and we were glad to find that our hotel actually existed after a long flight from Sydney. We found a great little guest house called Bentley's whilst here. There are so many shady characters in Mumbai, so it's good to have a nice pace to get away from it all. Every time you step outside you're hit with the humidity, beggars, touts and people absolutely everywhere.

We got an Indian guide to help us through our first day there and it was priceless (about 15 actually). She took us through the seedy red light district, taught us some local history and set us up for the next few days.

We went to see a Bollywood film the other day, an afternoon showing. All the young Indians were dressed up for the occassion. It was very funny even we didn't understand a word. We had stand for the national anthem at the start. It was a very tame "rom com" but the audience would whistle and cheer at the slightest of romantic scenes.
