Well we made it out of bangkok, and are now back in Hong Kong
It was weird yesterday coming through the centre of Bangkok, and on one side of the road were heavily armed troops and tanks, and on the other side partying Thais pelting our taxi with water bombs as part of Songkran or Thai new year.
The Thai have a week off for this festival and spend the time roaring round in their utes with big tanks of water and talcum powder, pelting each other.
As you walk down the street little kids sneak out of back alleys and squirt you, and run off laughing.
The air in hong Kong is notably cooler (20-25 degrees) after the stifling heat of Bangkok.
So farthe only new zealand products we have been able to find are 42Below Vodka, Spy Valley Marlborough Sav Blanc, and a leg of Alliance labelled lamb.
Off to do the sites of Hong kong tomorrow,
