This morning we are leaving Moab for Redstone in Colorado. We stopped at Denny's for a big Grand Slam breakfast, as we had a long drive ahead of us (226 miles). Along the way we passed the town called Cisco again, which we had seen the day before. The guide Cade told us a funny story about this town, which had a population of eight. The grocery store was run by a husband and wife, and wife shot husband dead, so then population went to seven making it statistically the worst murder/crime rate, and death rate in the whole of America! We stopped along the way to top up supplies, and again along the Colorado River to take in the views, and have a snack. We went through the winter ski resort of Aspen, and arrived at our campground at around 3pm. We parked up, and went for a walk along the river to the local town of Redstone (population 92). We sat on the riverbank with an ice cream. It's a very beautiful hidden gem. We headed back, had some dinner, and cleared up as we are now in bear country. The Campsite host told us there was a cub in the site just a few yards away from where we are pitched a couple of days ago, and that people had to be very wary of where the mother may be and keep well clear.
