Bradey's Travels
Colorado so far....
So last Tuesday, I missed my first flight because I started throwing up in the car at 4 something in the morning. Not pretty. Hours later, when I didn't stop, we realized that I had food poisoning from the chinese food I ate with my neighbor, Fish, the night before. So I was miserable and threw up in the OKC airport until my flight left 2 hours later. Bentley and I finally got on the plane and I had an aisle seat (as I had requested) and let's just say that baby came in handy.
I got into the airport in Denver and Matt's little sister picked me up. We had to drive through mountains for something like 250 miles before we got home. Bentley was upset because I was sick, I kept barfing in shopping bags that my mom and people in the airport had given to me, and I thought she was going to kill us!!!!! I think I paid her back because she has a weak stomach and I'll just tell you, the scene wasn't pretty! (;
But I'm better now! Bentley's a trooper. He just runs around the mountains and lakes when we fish.. Matt's neice is hilarious and she's been taking little swimming lessons so she can swim in their pool. Matt's cousin had her baby last night. It was a girl. 7 pounds 7 ounces. Her name is Collete. Matt's nephew calls me his Aunt...And he also asks Matt if he touches my boobs. I told him if boys touch girls' boobies, their dillydoos fall off. The rest of the afternoon, he kept his hands over his privates. (:
I've fished in rivers, streams, lakes, ponds, and snow-cap runoff...The only alone time Matt and I have had was one night when we fished at the Colorado River. It was freezing, so I bundled up with everything we had in the car. I looked like a gypsy... We looked down at the clock and it was 430am before we knew it. I've stood inches from a 3 thousand foot dropoff on the Colorado National Monument. I've ridden 4wheelers through the mountains and cliffs. (Matt and I hit a jump and almost went off a cliff because there wasn't another side...) I've grown attached to his brother. I worry about him constantly. In a weird way, he's like a spin off of my brother, only I get to have a relationship with this one..... His grandma and grandpa make me laugh so much! Just last night, she asked me if I had thought about breast feeding when I have children!! Between you and I, I almost pissed my pants!!! But I kept my cool and told her you need something to hold the milk, first. haha And I was complaining about watching the Ringer because I thought it was about making fun of Exceptional people and his grandpa stood up for me and said he didn't like watching movies anyways. I did the Bingo thing for the first time yesterday with Matt's mom and grandma. I even have my own dobber now! (I know you're jealous--I can feel it!) It was great! All these rich retired women were in there spending their hubbies money and I kept shushing them because, well....There's no talking in Bingo.
Matt and I rented a rustic cabin up in the Mesa Lakes for this weekend. I've never gotten to do that, so we're gonna take fishing boats out so I can show him up at fishing again.. And make a campfire so I can try to teach him the art of the Marshmallow. But I miss my kids.... All 25 of the little goobers. And my sister. I keep wanting to look in the backseat and see her eyes get teary also, when she doubts what she's seeing is real.
We've had a great time. It's been an amazing experience. I can't wait to travel more. And even though these boot-wearing, vest-loving, bear-hunting people are everywhere you look....I find this place endearing.
1 more week. (:
::edit::
i just saw collete, and had the grossest conversation about having children ever with Ashley and matt's grandma. babies are beautiful, beautiful, beautiful... but some of that stuff is probably the scariest thing i've ever heard.
