Brenton Kovacs's Travels
Tthe drive from Helena to West Yellowstone is only a few hours. But it is a stunning drive through very green forests. We arrive in West Yellowstone to be greeted by a massive thunderstorm. I get very we attempting to cook tea in the rain. The rv park has a nice lounge so we are able to eat tea there and dry off. I am told the temperature will dip below zero tonight, so i get an extra blanket to put on top of the sleeping bag. Hope it keeps me warm
The following morning light is dimmed by a dense fog. Managed to saty warm and toasty. By the time we have had breakfast the sun is shining. We take a nice leisurely drive through the park. We are lucky enough to see a few Bison up very close, as they walk along the road. Apart from the Bison, all the other animals are hiding.
The park to me is not as good as Glacier, but still offers some nice views.
By the time we get back to the rv park the thunderstorms have arrived and i get very wet again cooking tea. Oh well the joys of camping. This rv park is one of the nicest we have stayed in, but it does come at a price.
