Marc: Words can't explain how much fun we have had so I'll keep this short and create lists (I like lists).
Things I will miss:
1. The company and banter we have had over the last 3 weeks. Surprisingly there were little arguments between us and the trip has ultimately brought us all closer together in one way or another.
2. The randomness/excitement of not know what/where we are going to be tomorrow.
3. The scenery and weather. Sounds sad but one day we are in a desert with absolutely nothing, and then around the next corner (ok the corner might be 200 miles away) there would be rolling green hills, or a massive town in the middle of nowhere.
Things I won't miss:
1. James's amazing smells he makes. It's a very rare talent he has and I believe he should somehow make it into a career (with the consistency in smell and frequency).
2. Waking up next to James wanting to hug/kiss or mount me every morning.
3. Food; in particular the size, smoked food, Mexican food, and fried food.
Funniest moments:
1. "You are 100% covered guys" Jackie (our car rental lady) in relation to that as we dropped the car back in... I really don't think she expected a whole car to be returned.
2. San Fran as a whole. From the drug dealers and crazy people (there were a lot), to the wonderful protector of the room... Gandalf, to the bar staff always emptying our table of drinks (while everyone else's tables were always empty) and some guy with amazing hair hitting on James. All I can say is, 1 hahaha, 2 hahaha (in the way the Count from Sesame Street would count the number of homeless people who camped outside our hotel).
3. Steak challenge - the time it took to get the food, turn around to look at it, turn back to James who had already eaten 3/4 of it while muttering 20 minutes guys...20 minutes.
Best moments:
1. Cirque du Soleil's 'O' - Still no clue what it was about, or even what happened; however, it was one of the best live shows I've had the opportunity to see, and would happily watch it over and over again.
2. Gun Range - I am now known as Paul (no idea how he thought my name was Paul, but let's just go with it). Shooting pistols and machine guns at Zombinladin and a Shotgun at a hostage girl (yes, we were supposed to shoot the terrorist, but the girl was the smaller target so I like to think there was more skill involved - even if it was accidental).
3. San Fran - as mentioned above for the randomness. Driving around the crazy roads, crazy people shouting (not really in relation to anything/anyone; they just genuinely liked to shout). Just thinking about doing mundane things like our washing our clothes, will forever make me laugh.
Things learnt:
1. Control (or lack of) isn't always a bad thing; if anything, it's more fun (in relation to getting lost and not knowing where we were going to be staying).
2. Money/gambling is fun if your frame of mind is; I couldn't give a crap what the outcome is. Ultimately, I did lose to the house on some dubious bets, so I won't be changing careers anytime soon.
3. Life's too short.
As mentioned there are a number of moments that haven't made it into the above lists, which will still make me laugh, thinking about them in years to come.
