Massive day, Legoland followed by Outlet shopping.
Legoland was a cracker, write ups weren't that supportive of this park but we totally loved it. Hired a little Toyota Prius and drove about an hour to get there. Rain has finally stopped which is a good thing and it's real warm outside. No ponchos or jackets required today, it's sunscreen only. The boss (wife) left her sunglasses at the hotel, reckon she meant it so she had to buy a new pair, a dodgy pair of DG ($12) - looked real cool!
Everywhere you look, there is something made out of lego, there are giraffes, zebras, people, birds in trees, however the thing that was most impressive was a life size Ford Territory and the detail was unbelievable!!
Did absolutely everything this park had to offer. The kids went on all 4 of the parks roller coasters, amazing effort given their age and access to these rides in the past. Even the food was good, fried chicken, reminded us of how KFC tasted in 1975, oh the memories - sounds yuk but tasted nice.
If we knew it was going to be this hot we would have brought bathers and did the water park also.
Left the park right on closing and decided to go shopping at the premium outlets - why not! had the car, with a boot, kids were happy and we hadn't had enough in Hawaii.
Anyway many bags were brought home. Now up to 5 suitcases. Finished the night with a plate of pasta, a good one at that or maybe just a change from the fried crap we have been subjected to.
Home around 11 and pretty much off to bed.
Funniest thing of the day.
Walking through Legoland an African American woman on the phone says to the person on the other end, "hot, boy it hot down here, let me tell ya". In a southern USA accent it was a cracker - straight off a TV sitcom.
Night ya all.
