It rained most of the night but cleared early today and got to around 19c in the afternoon so things are improving on that front. Had a lazy morning sitting in the sun reading then off to view the open cut gold mine, quite impressive indeed. We then walked the 6km heritage trail and were quite surprised at the size of Cobar. Had a takeaway lunch at the reservoir accompanied by some cattle and not much else then went down to the new tank (local description for lake) and Susie practiced her new passion with her book bought today at the visitors centre, bird watching (thanks John and Jane)
We then came back to the caravan park lit a fire and sat around with our neigbours (18 months into living on the road for 10 years, ex Govt employees) and chewed the fat over a bottle of red. Then a delivered pizza and another day gone. Off to Bourke tommorow
