I belive I am well due a blog entry, so here we go. Last I reported we were at Fox Glacier in New Zealand. I hasten to add we soon left place after becoming rather unwelcome due to missing our glacier walk as we were too hung over, missing our sky dive as we thought the weather looked rubbish and couldn't really be arsed, sleeping on the side of a residential street which involved a ladder up to the pdo blocking the pavement and stealing showers from a campsite which resulted in a $60 fine and a very angry chap saying he was going to pass our registration number onto every campsite in NZ! Instead we did a glacier walk on the Franz Joseph Glacier which actually turned out to be way better. That night we camped in a lay by in a snow storm on top of a mountain. thankfully we survived the night with only minor frost bite to the bum due to squatting and a fabulous dinner of bangers and mash cooked by me!
Then onto Queenstown (the Adrenalin Capital of the World) were we partook in a series of activities ivolving hangovers and jumping from very high obstacles. Matt and I did Canyoning, which involves throwing yourself down a ridiculously cold (3 wetsuit scale) canyon in a series of jumps, slides and abseils. Insane but awesome. All 4 of us also threw ourselves into a 110m high canyon on a swing (I'm sure the pictures tell this tale the best).
It was then a long drive to the beautiful Milford Sound where we carried on getting bitten to death by sandflies so swiftly moved on. Another long drive took us to Dunedin where we stalked penguins before heading up to Christchurch for our final night out before Oz. We were very grateful to shed the tiny campervan and its now horrendously smelling fridge for a real bed and a WARM nights sleep!
