We were rather pleased we didn't rent a bungalow over the sea as they had no shade...we had beach, terrasse and shade......
We also seemed to attract a family of chickens...and a cat.....The chickens got so bold they pecked on our door in the morning.....I always had left over bread fir them...but guess it won't bide well for the next occupants which will be probably honeymooners...these islands do seem to be a honeymooners bucket list......
You could play "spot the honeymooner"..., but it was a game far too easy....the more up market, but clinical places such as the Hilton seemed to have swarms of honeymooners!!
..hand holding, kissing, cuddling...swarms of them....oh and yes "Young!"!!!!!!
Driving round the island we have seen gravestones in everyone's gardens ...well most homes...in their gardens....it appears as a large double grave with a huge concrete slab on top....then at the end there are two headstones....of course because the island is full of flowers these graves are equally full of flowers..mainly in pots..potted splendidly perfumed I'm sure..because all the blooms on this island have amazing lingering wafting scents......there are no graveyards in the two small Mooreas churches it seems families are buried at home.....so dare I say to my kids??...ha ha grin?....ma and pa bogan in the garden???....now that's an idea!....
Well all good things come to an end.....and this trip is nigh in over...I'm sitting in Los Angeles awaiting my flight to heathrow....then Geneva..then home and see my wonderful family and animals.....
