bobnkaren's Great Adventure: Bob & I are heading south. It's only October, but we're just coming of a week of record breaking cold and we're sick of winter already. Alot of our friends spend the winter in Phoenix, and Arizona's okay for a stopover, but we're heading south-er, waaaay south of Phoenix. After warming up there for a couple of months, we're off to the beaches of Uruguay and the mountains of Argentina. For those of you geographically-challenged, this is in the southern hemisphere, hence the whole our-winter-is-their-summer thing. So follow us as we wend our way through some of the world's most astounding geography. We'll be gone 5 months-- two in Phoenix, one in Uruguay and two in Argentina. // From Northern Montana to Southern Patagonia: 5 months -- 5 countries : We're at it again. It seems we've been planning this trip for years, but it actually has been close to one. While we were in Argentina last year we decided we weren't doing this country again---3 times was enough. We were going somewhere new--like Honduras or Ecuador. However, as much as we do want to see Ecuador, our winter is their rainy season and as such kinda defeats the whole get-out-of-dodge mentality of leaving rainy, cold, snowy Montana in the first place. So we're headed for Chile via Costa Rica and Panama and while there will indeed be popping back into Argentina as we're going to the end of the world. So join us for another fantastic five months of discovery. // bobnkaren's great adventure part 3: We're off for another 3 months of discovery. This time beginning in Ecuador, ending in Argentina and pretty much undecided about what's in the middle. Join us as we meet new friends and see what we can find out about places we've never been. // bobnkaren's great adventure part 4: We're off to see Argentina and Chile again--this time hopefully in a little more comfort. And along the way we'll visit some places we've missed on the last 3 trips down here. // You know you´re in Mexico when a cop with a machine gun stops to change your tire: We're RV-ing through a country we said we'd never go to. In fact, we were never going to have an RV either. We'd already made reservations at a couple of b&b's in Puerto Vallarta when we bought the RV, so we're driving down, staying 5 weeks there, then adventuring off to who-knows-where. Depends on how much we like driving in Mexico. // Two months in Colombia :
