The airport was crowded with long lines at the check in station, bag check and security... and the kids were overtired! Jeyton couldn't keep still and wanted to run all over with his "Domo" (robot bag) in tow. Jaeda was the everpresent, attentive princess who just wanted to hang on to mom's leg. The magic trick to keep them still in line- pretzels! We made it just in time for our boarding call at the gate- whew!

On the plane, the kids were awesome! Jeyton fell asleep 15 minutes into the flight, while talking about gummy bears, mid-sentence, and Jaeda shortly after. Just how well behaved were they? Let's just say mom got to read her book and dad got to watch a movie... nuff said and we couldn't ask for more!

Once we arrived it took another hour to retrieve our luggage from baggage claim and then another hour to get the rental car, load up and get the car seats in and situated- it was cold outside! Again the kids were awesome having their own little fun waiting- counting the airplanes and singing their rendition of "Fireworks." We rewarded them with a late night Jack in the Box stop. The blunder highlight of the evening of course was setting the car alarm off at 1:00am outside of the condo while trying to desperately find the keys... just imagine 2 frantic parents scouring the car for keys while their children imitate the beeping sound eating french fries... good thing Pacific Beach happens to be a little swanky surf-party town and people around must be used to the noise. No harm done.
