From PhnomPennh we took a two day tour down the Mekong river and arrived in Vietnam. We spent a night at a floating hotel which was quite exciting on the mekong itself near a town called Cho Doch. We have been amazed at how friendly the Vietnamese people are, we can't go anywhere without hello hello and of course they love Josh. We had a tour the next day to the pagoda on top of Sam mountain, a buddhist monastry of which we could see the boarder of Cambodai and Vietnam, then we werer off to the fish farmand Cham minority group (10% of Vietnam. We decided instead of going straight to Saigon we would follow another couple to Pho Quoc island which is between Cambodia and Vietnam. We hired a scooter to do some exploring, ended up being a disaster after we had 3 punctures so couldn't get to see much, but the island is still undeveloped to and extent with only one main tourist town with hotels and restaurants which is great. We took a boat trip the next day to do some snorkelling off the island which was awesome much better than Cambodias coast with clearer water and more fish. Josh had a chance to fish as well which he loved. We are staying 50m from the beach and really loving it here not sure when we plan to leave it's great, we had torrential rain last night which was quite a scare but everyone carried on as normal today so looks like more swimming and relaxing on the beach, eating at the market and maybe fit in a massage:-)
