Lynette's latest entry
The Gemfields, Queensland
Friday 29/8/2014 Left Kynuna early as had another big drive ahead of us. The road kill on this next stretch of road was major, about every 20mtrs there was something dead lying on the side of the road. With the road kill you get all the birds feasting on the carcasses as well. Travelled down the highway passed through Winton and then on to…
Nicola Great work Mum. We haven't driven 12,131 kms in the last three years let alone the last month. I suspect dad is contemplating following in the German couples footsteps. Assume Pete is on the planning already!

re: OZ 4WD Adventure - The EndDavey & Sheila Hi Murray and Lynn ,some good pictures their. You are having a trip of a lifetime. Bring some heat back with you. Are you coming back or do we have to come and get you????
re: Waltzing MatildaMark You sure do write a great blog Lynette, I totally agree with Marie (above) You "should" put it "all" together complete with photos. BUT leave out the Mark bit huh, lol. What happens away, stays away. :-)
re: Waltzing MatildaMarie I bet you will be looking forward to getting back to see the kids - but hey what an amazing trip you have had. You need to put all your blogs into a photo book. You have done a great job on keeping us all informed of where you have been etc. Beautiful day here - off now to have a look at vege garden - maybe I might do some digging!! Hear from you soon. X
re: Waltzing MatildaMark Lyn, I have read a little of what your "blog" contains, will spend many hours reading the rest when I get home. Thank you for all what you have written and shared, more importantly, thank you for your support and your and Murry's friendship.
re: Rest DaysMichelle Hi have enjoyed reading all your blogs and keeping up with all your travels. Sounds amazing. We are definitely going to do the horizontal falls now. Great to catch up. Safe travels

re: Brisbane to BroomeLynette Bkackler Sunset broome
re: Sunset BroomeNicola I like how beer gets prioritised over a pink diamond... Good work on the posting and the photos Mum. So much to see and do, even Chris is saying that we should do it with the boys. Given they struggled on a six hour drive from Cornwall to London, I would think a trip from Brisbane to Broome is a fair way in the offing!
re: Hitting the BeachAnne and Kelvin sounds fantastic even if we don't envy you the driving. The scenery is amazing from the photos you have posted. Hope the 4wd behaves itself or it will end up drinking more oil than Murrays is drinking beer!! :)
re: Hitting the BeachRex Sounds like an adventure to date, hope you made a movie we can all watch.. so what about the oil issue, howd you fix it... ? I agree with Marie, great job on the reporting, very interesting. How will one return to the great metropolis of Invercargill. ?
