We arrived Marina Villa Igiea along with another Oyster. Port authorities squeezed us in first, moving other boats to make room for the Oyster 72. I took pictures of the bumper collection when the boats were tucked in safely. When all deck work was finished--particularly our neighbors, we sang Happy BD to Lindsay while she drank champagne.
After our cocktails, we headed to dinner. Fortunately, we had a change in plans from a hotel restaurant to Ristorante La Staffa at street level. (Ginny and Ray checked out the hotel restaurant later and affirmed we made the right choice.) Everyone had a great meal plus wonderful bruschetta and wine for €97 ($125+tip for 6. My fresh fish was yummy.) It was my turn to buy so I feel great about the choice not to mention the waiter who took a shine to me. :) (I'm sure he has a wife and 16 kids at home!)
We toddled home to find the refrigeration mostly working. Michel and Linda communicated with the repair guys via keyboard and a Google translation program, I think. Very cool whatever it was!
