Arriving in Singapore with no money and no where to stay but eventually got to a place called Summer Tavern which as I found out later on is not the same as Sunshine Tavern. Went to Raffles Hotel this eveningfor a Singapore Slinger the local cocktail. This Raffles hotel is the most expensive hotel in Singapore and they let us scruffs in. We went up to the public which to my surprise was really shabby. People sit at the bar eating monkey nuts and just throw the rubbish on the floor, awesome!!

06/10/07 - Didn't really have a plan for today so popped into the tourist office and booked ourself on some tours checking out the cities heritage and local sites by bus until we stumbled accross a HSBC function. A chance to beat the stars. A golf game, tennis and footy game. Jonny's first shot on the golf and its a hole in 1 jammy. Only took me six attempts. The footy game was easy. Get the ball through the hole - just to clarify I did twice Jonny failed miserably not once in about 50 attempts but i'll let him off cos he got the tennis one and I didn't. We won a total of 5 water bootles. Great were am I supposed to keep them. There was some 3-a-side footy comp going on as well which we watched from the VIP section with some asian pro footballer and some up and coming tennis pro whos only 17 oh and somevery pretty famous asian model. AFter that excitement we went to a night safari. Saw lots of deer and lions and tigers and all sorts of call night animals.

07/10/07 - Today we popped over to Sentosa Island taking our bathers expecting to go to a water park we were very dissappointed to find out that was actually somewhere else. Ah well we went lugeing great fun and watched some randomn films on 4D screens and went to an oxygen bar. After which we went out to watch the mighty spurs take on Liverpool. I've never seen so many liverpool fans. Anyways we briefly got distracted by the sky rocket a sort of reverse bungy which was pretty cool hitting 200km/h in about half a second. Nice! Off to the pub and a random barman buys a drink just coz we're wearing our spurs shirts and hes a spurs fan! Get In!! Anyway a few beers later and Tottenham almost win (2-2).

08/10/07 - Not the most exciting day, had to pick up our tickets and get charged a rediculous amount although what do we find on our way only another HSBC thingy. And now i'm basically famous in Singapore after being only 1 of 15 other people to make the 15metre put. Not only that I made two other puts one puts me in with the chance to win a trip to Tokyo and the other from 5 metres to give me the chance to have a go at the 15 metre putt. Winning another drinks bottle a cap and a golf pouch and having my photo taken by many people I walk away a happy man.!! After that a brief trip round the shopping centre and watched a film. A nice way to round off our trip to SIngapore one of the cleanest cities in the world. Tomorrow we leave Asia and head off to Perth. Asia's been fun but it will be nice to get somewhere and not be ripped off all the time.

9/10/07 - SIngapore's airport has got to be one of the best in the world as we discovered. Clean and spacious with plenty to do. Arriving in the morning even though our flight wasn't til the evening we chilled out and looked around before finding the spa room, I spent the last of my Singapore dollars on a back massage, good choice. Set me up nicely for flight to Oz which would arrive in Perth at just after midnight. Nice!
