/02/08 - Arrived in the South Island after a 3 hour boat trip over rough seas whilst feeling a little tender, not the best boat trip ever but i survived and arrived at Nelson a little later.
/02/08 - Went for a walk in the forest of the Nelson Lakes National Park before continuing on to Westport which is full of inbreds (Irish ones at that) and thats actually true as we met some of them.
/02/08 - I'd just like to point out that there isn't a great deal to do in most of these places hence just one night stops. Anyways we were all very excited today as we have an entertaining next stop. On the way to it we stopped of at the Cape Foulwind seal colony and checked out the pancake rocks and blowholes which was nice. Then it we had a brief stop at a small shopping centre to prepare for tonights antics. The theme being "anything but clothes". I shall clear up what i'm talking about. Our next stop is at Lake Mahinapua which is basically a pub in the middle of nowhere run by an 83 year old man who looks like the main dwarf from the lord of the rings. He is described as a grumpy old man with a heart of gold and 15 years ago knocked out a big maori guy hmmmm. Anyways, it was a hilarious night and 5 of us dressed up as the kiwi experience bus with just a cardboard box around us. Check out the pictures - when i actually get round to putting them up.
/02/08 - Feeling a little ropey, we left this amusing place and first stop was the bushmans cafe, were you could try a possom pie, but most of us opted for the full english! Next stop was the awesome Franz Josef Glacier Village. Finished off the afternoon with a game of paintball.
/02/08 - A lie in this morning get in!! Then we hopped in a helicopter and flew up into the glacier for a 2 hour walk which was pretty spectacular.
/02/08 - Stopped off at Lake Matheson to capture the mirror lake with mount cook in the background. Then it was on to Wanaka where for some reason jonny had decided to do a Skydive, fairplay to him, so i hopped on it as well just so i could watch his face haha and so he couldn't bap about doing a higher skydive than me (15,000ft). I can tell you his face didn't even flinch on the flight up even with the instructors cracking jokes, until they opened the door then it turned to terror ha ha. Well done Jon you big loser!!
/02/08 - I think Jonny is feeling top of the world today or an indistructable lunatic as hes booked himself on a bungy jump as well. On the way to Queenstown we stopped off at the original AJ Hackett Bridge Bungy jump. Quality we got dunked in the river. The highlight of this being when one of the girls on our bus did the bungy in her bikini top and it came off ha ha, good work Maria!! After all this excitement it was on to Queenstown for some more fun and games.
/02/08 - Didn't do a great deal today but it was nice to have a lie in. The other highlight of the day was having a legendary Fergburger which is bigger than my face.
/02/08 - Today I completed my thrillogy by doing the rediculous Nevis bungy and the Ledge before going luging as well. An action packed day, followed by some beer and tea pots. Tomorrow is the bottom bus, so to speak.
