We are back in the U.S.A....we spent Monday on the road from Napier to the glow worm caves in Waitomo Caves to Auckland. It couldn't have picked a better day to rain all day. Welcome...we will be leaving for New Zealand on April 7th and returning on April 21st. We actually will arrive in Auckland on April 9th as we will cross the international date line. Therefore, New Zealand is 18 hours ahead of central time zone. Once we arrive in Auckland, we will catch another plane to Queenstown, South Island and travel the South Island first. We will spend about a week on the South Island and a week on the North Island. We are renting a mini-van (yeah baby!) …

Kiwis drive on the left side of the road, so I'll have to refresh the old memories from driving in Ireland. From what I've read, I think we will have to watch out for sheep on the road here, too. Because they are located in the southern hemisphere, we will be there as they enter into their Fall season. The weather is still supposed to be around 65-70 degrees and mostly sunny, but way less crowds. (We hope!). Scott, M, Luke and Erin: Looks like you are having a terrific time. I would love, love, love to have seen the Lord of the Rings forest.
