bigelows in Italy
Ciao!We made it safely to our villa in Tuscany. Had a wonderful dinner last night, and a relaxing day so far today. We swam for a bit, then it rained, now heading out for some Gelato. More details to follow. The trip into Arezzo for gelato turned into quite an adventure. Luke, Kurt, and I went into town, picked up some gelato, promptly got lost on the way back. Saw 2 accidents in about 5 minutes (surprised there aren't more the way Italians drive). The first was a kid who got thrown from a Vespa (little motor scooter) and was lying face down in the street. I stopped to see if I could help, he was breathing but unresponsive, people were gathering around, and no one spoke English. They had called for an ambulance, so we left. Not a quarter mile later, we came upon a car that was flipped over, with about 10 Italian guys turning it back over.Needless to say, we were glad to make it back to the villa safely. Luke said, "Dad, I wish you hadn't talked me into coming, all the trouble were getting into!"Then we ahd a wonderful homecooked meal by our chefs Maggie, Kelly and Lisa.Probably off to do some siteseeing today, will update later!
