It is my third day here in the South of South Korea. I woke up at 5am instead of 3am, so this is great! I am able to sleep later; hopefully I will be free from the jetlag before I have to start teaching this Thursday.

I first arrived in my studio apartment Friday night after going to the supermarket. The teacher who stayed here left some Korean culture books as well as kitchen supplies so I didn't have to buy any.

Yesterday my co-teacher stopped by and helped me get TV and internet installed. I also stopped by the supermarket on my own to get food. I tried to find sliced lunch meat, rice, and cheese. I couldn't find any of those things! I found some rice that seemed like it was instant, but I wanted to buy the bags of rice grains I could cook in the rice cooker. I guess I'll try again to find some again today. Cheese and lunch meat doesn't exist here, I have concluded. I'll have to find something else to put on my bread.
