This Godless Endeavor
Hey all
We woke up yesterday fairly early, as it was a beautiful day and we got woken up by the light. We had decided to go out in the power boat and so we needed to refuel it. After breakfast which was a traditional Danish breakfast of chocolate bread, Tim and Nick stayed at home to relax, whilst the rest of us went out to Helsingor.
Nik drove into the harbor fairly quickly and nearly rammed the dock wall. He told me to fend off the wall, but as we were coming up and I was getting ready to fend off, he put the boat into forwards rather than reverse. This caused him to panic and quickly put it back into reverse just as I pushed off. He shouted to me "Don't jump off" as soon as I had fallen off the boat, and he left me hanging from the side of the jetty wall. Matt then filled up the boat, from a very temperamental pump. As the handle clicked to say that we had filled up the tank, loads of petrol shot out of the tank all over Matt's hands, and once again Nik helpfully told him this would happen after it did.
After we got back we went donoughting behind the power boat. Tim, Andy and I were the only ones who went on, Nik wanted a go but Lars was out of the country and so couldn't drive him. We got thrown around a lot and there were some fantastic bails. Andy swimming through the air was particularly memorable, as well as Tim's triple backflip.
In the evening we went and built a fire out of pinecones on the beach, and some of Nik's Danish friends came with some wood. We basically sat round the fire drinking beer (we got through 42), and some vodka (2 litres to be precise). This was a lot of fun, topped off by Andy trying to swim through the sand to get to the fire, it didn't really work. Some people didn't feel so well, after overindulging in the alcoholic fun.
Cya soon Chris
