Now we are in England!
We have stayed Kristy & Deane in Farnham, stayed in Locks Heath, Southampton with Peter (Craig’s brother), Jane and the kids, spent a day looking around Portsmouth, stayed with Cherie & Dave in London, spent time looking around Nottingham and settled in Grantham, Lincolnshire.
We had Kristy & Deane come to stay one weekend and went and explored Lincoln. We visited the castle which still has the towers and wall intact, looked around the massive, impressive cathedral and had a tour around a working windmill.
Craig is working as a physio here in Grantham and with Nottingham Cricket. I am working part-time for the physio clinic in Grantham and still trying to find more work, which is proving much harder than expected.
Grantham is famous for Sir Isaac Newton who was born just out of the town and went to school here. It is also the birth place of Margret Thatcher, Britain’s first woman prime minister. It is the home of St Wulfram church which has the highest spire of any medieval church in England, soaring 282ft. It is one of the many market towns in this area and has a street market every Saturday and farmers market once a month.
Now we are starting to make travel plans so watch this space!
