Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Dave, Happy Birthday to you. I knew you would see this because you must have gotten a lot of e-mails and who knows if you would find ours. We wish you lots of good health, love, happiness. Enjoy your birthday and do something really nice. We wish you what you wish yourself. Just be yourself and remember that we miss both of you. We have many nice things to share ahead of us. Will call you today. All of our e-mails read first.
Love,
Barbara and Les

Hi there mom!
Cambodia was fantastic. Take a peek at the Phnom Penh and Siem Reap sections in the blog for blog posts and photos. We really enjoyed ourselves in Cambodia, and in retrospect, we would have liked to spend more time there.
Awwww...we are sorry that Rachey cried, but on the upside, at least she remembers us. Dave sent me an email the other day and called me Arthur. The he told Bev it was about time she got married. I think I might need to call him and remind him that I'm still around. Just kidding, of course! Don't go sending Dave an email.
We arrived safe and sound in New Zealand, and we are wrapping up our time in Christchurch, which is on the east coast in the center of the southern island. We are renting a camper tomorrow, and we will drive to Mt. Cook to do some hiking. We will definitely take gobs of pictures.
Love you and miss you lots!

Amy and Ari,
That is great news!!! We are so excited for you guys. We have a few Korean friends and know one couple who recently completed the adoption process for a Korean baby, so please let us know if you would like us to reach out to them. It would be our pleasure to help in any way we can!
Happy Belated Birthday! Glad to hear Ari spoiled you. He's a good catch, that one. You should marry that kid one day. ;)
We are honored that we were mentioned at the birthday dinner! We vividly remember the last time we saw everyone, and we are look forward to hanging out more when we get back! I was just talking about you all a few days ago, reminding Bev about the bon voyage happy hour. We were so happy to hang out with everyone and share our final days in DC with such great people.
Passover help will be no problem. We'll be happy to get you rolling. And on another note, we're still on for Hanukkah celebratin', so we'll let you know when the date is set. Latkes and other stuff guaranteed to clog arteries will be the order of the day.
We have been hearing strange weather stories from everyone in our travels, from North Vietnamese who are having a hotter growing season that is stunting the rice crops to major droughts in Australia, odd weather in New Zealand, hot weather in Germany, etc. It really makes global warming seem like such a more omni-present phenomenon to hear all these stories firsthand. Man, I'm a downer. :) Wait, it is totally your fault. You started it with the news about the cherry blossoms. Okay, glad we sorted that one out.
Anyway, thanks so much for catching us up on the haps at home. We look forward to catching a DMH gig, meeting the new munchkin, and celebrating holidays with you guys!
Cheers,
Bev and Sean

Dear Rachel,
We are so sorry to hear that you cried because you miss us so much! We miss you, too, and we will see you in less than three months. Our trip is already halfway over. Can you believe it?
We can't believe how many teeth are loose in your head! Is everything else screwed in tight? Is your eye loose? What about your nose? How would you smell if your nose fell clean off? Is there a nose fairy?
4 playdates over spring break sounds fun. What did you do for all that time?
Are you getting more and more excited for France? Next month is the month you get to go!!!
We miss and love you lots. Take a look at the Koh Tao picture album, so you can see cool pics of us underwater. It was fun. We'll show you a cool DVD when we get home.
Lots of love and kisses and big huge hugs that squeeze the stuffin's right out,
-Aunt Bev and Uncle Sean

Hi Children,
I just want to tell you that Rachel cried very hard and for a long, long time. She really misses you terribly.
I hope you arrived safely in New Zealand. How is it? Tell me all about it. Take pictures.
Remember that we love you.
Be safe, be careful. I know you two, try anything.
Lots of love, hugs, kisses and prayers. We miss you so much. We miss Ilene and Dave also.
Love,
Mom

Hey kids!
I examined the Japan photos carefully to see if I could get a flava of what Seoul will be like when we go. Also checked out some of your Cambodia shots. More monks, please. Love that shade of orange.
Immigration recently approved our petition to bring in an orphan from Korea--the next step will be the call that says, your child has been chosen. YIKES! We are in awe that things are advancing as they are.
Ari spoiled me thoroughly for my 39th birthday on Saturday. Over enchiladas on the Hill with Dan, Heather, Brian, Karla and others, we thought of you guys and wondered where you might be that day.
Oh, we need serious Passover guidance for next year; promise you'll help?!
Good continued travels to you. You missed the shortest-lived cherry blossom season in DC history (in other words, you missed nothing!). The rain, wind and snow--on the heels of 80-degree temps--just smoked 'em. it's jes' plain weird.
love, Amy (Ari, too)
Rachel
I meant to say whole family, not new family. That was Mommy's fault. And I forgot to say goodbye, and hello in the right language. That was my fault.
Rachel
Hi. I miss you very much and I hope you come back very soon and I know you're going to New Zealand next and I am very excited. Can you please send me a postcard? Today I had a playdate with Dahlia and when I looked at your postcards, I just cried because I missed you!
I have 5 loose teeth. The wiggliest one is about to fall out. It is next to the one that already came out and the one that is coming in, not the ones that were always in. The new one that fell out of my mouth!
I will go back to school tomorrow. I had 4 playdates over Spring Break.
I know that you are going to bring back lots of presents for me and the new family and I will of course from France!
Mom And Dad
Oops, Please look at your e-mails. Who is having a Wedding Anniversary? You will be in New Zealand then. What will you be doing for your Anniversary? This is from the same Mom and Dad
