We got lots of souvenirs from Paris, France. I got a little Tour Eiffel and a little Arc de Triompe.
I saw them both. I saw the Eiffel Tower from the Arc de Triomphe and I saw the Arc de Triomphe from the Eiffel Tower!!
I really liked pastries! We went to the market every day. The apartment was very useful. We had to wear our pink and blue shoes so that we didn't get splinters from bare feet and so that our socks didn't get dirty.

We're baaack! Like literally came in last night . . .
Had an amazing trip! Tried to post to your blog from internet cafes, but couldn't remember the URL and searching for you guys didn't work. We were losers
Paris was AMAZING! Had cool weather and mostly clouds/light rain, but was awesome.
I am sure Rachel will tell you more when she posts later.
Food was to die for, we plowed through our whole spreadsheet of stuff to do and had time to chill and get to know the neighborhood. Oh, and we went to Versailles, Giverny, and Futuroscope on the TGV.
Anyway, love and miss you guys. We'll e-mail you pics once I've downloaded them.
P.S. Hey Aric - glad you like Rachel's posts! I (Ellen) type as she dictates, which is at a rapid pace But I do type verbatim. She did type her first few posts, but those were 30+ minute events

Sadatay my Damie. And hello to your lady, too.

Hey guys, remember me? :-)
I just viewed about six albums....what awesome, epic pics!! Saw Christchurch, Mt. Cook, hiking pics, etc. Totally dug the camp site pics and what a stylin' little RV/eurovan you got yourselves!
We've been in our new house 4 weeks now. We're real happy with the move. Ryleigh has kindergarten orientation today. Aline goes to a new family in a week or two and we're done with au pairs. Yay!
I mobilized College Board Reston office folks for Bike to Work Day this past Friday and got 10% of the entire work force to ride in! That is 25 people. As a result, we won the Corporate Challenge and won a free Whole Foods lunch for all riders. We unseated USGS who has won this for the past 5 years in a row. They have over 1,000 employees in their Reston office, we have 250.
Chris Milstead shipped out to Iraq a few weeks ago. I got an email from him in Germany where he was doing hard PT with 5-6 mile runs with gear, enoying German beer and good eats and the cleanliness. He was riding a bike every day. He seems to really be preparing himself for rough times ahead. I believe he is in Afghanistan right now then to Iraq. His first tour was when we first attacked and he stayed in a hospital in Kuwait. This time he is traveling with the Army infantry and will work in a mobile hospital. Seems much riskier to me...traveling = driving a vehicle down the road and you know how that can turn out. The war is up front and personal for us now.
Sean, I can't believe how small you look! I did a double take at that pic where you're propping your head up drinking a beer. I was like "woe, he looks like he did in high school!". Good for you! Very happy for you!
I've backed off on weekend racing a bit. Still light it up on Tu/Th group rides or Greenbelt training race which is free (Tu/TH) or cheap ($12 for Greenbelt) but I'm psyched to ride with you when you get back. Been doing hill repeats on Hunter Station at lunch on Thursdays.
On a different note, I can't believe Rachel wrote that last posting. Is she 7 going on 15? That was amazing. So great she had a trip to Pear-eee.
Enjoy yourselves!

Hi Rachel,
I can't believe you had yet another tooth come out and how graphically you described what happened! Just remember that if too many teeth come out, your gums collapse in on your head, and your nose ends up over your ear. Ask your mommy and daddy about that.
Just kidding! I can't believe you are already in France and probably even back by now. You have to tell us AAAALLLLLL about it. Can't wait to hear about your adventures. You are quite the little traveler.
We love you bunches and boatloads.
Love,
Aunt Bev and Uncle Sean
PS: We know your teeth are falling out, but have your ears started falling out, too? Don't forget to put them under the kitchen table, and the ear elf will come give you a pancake breakfast.

Hi Callsen Family!
Thanks for the reminder that we even have azaleas, much less that they are blooming. I actually love when those tender little plants choose to paint our front lawn magically with pink and red blossoms, to remind us of the ebb and flow of earth's rhythms and that spring is upon us.
Oh, man. Was that just disgusting or what? That's cool that the neighbor next door is mowing for us! How does the back yard look these days? If the Forrers lost Helen, have them look in our backyard. :)
Trip is great and keeps getting better. On our way to Oz tomorrow!
Enjoy spring...hope it has fully sprung by now.
Cheers,
Bev and Sean

Haaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!

I had another tooth come out at school. It was bleeding, but I went to the nurse at school. I had another tooth fall out while I was eating breakfast at IHOP. I am leaving to Paris, France today.
My teacher made me a journal to take to France to write about what I see and what I do and I can draw pictures and put pictures in there and put postcards in there and put anything I want in there.
We are going to celebrate Mother's Day and Mommy & Daddy's Anniversary.
I am very excited about seeing the Tour Eiffel and the Arc de Triomphe and the Louvre and the Musee d'Orsay, and all the fun things we're going to do in France like eat croissants and eclairs and mousse au chocolat.
Love you! Au revoir!
The Callsen Family
Hey guys. Your azelea bushes are blooming and the weeds are starting to take over your garden. The neighbor next door is mowing the grass down for you. Glad you finally made it down under and hope you continue to have a great trip. Brian, Deb, Josh and Maggie
