Helloooo its Becci and Rob!!! Thought we would write a blog as we are BORED! Lol.

Last week we went to sugar loaf mountain on the thursday which was brilliant. We went up some cable cars to the top... we loved it! Cheryl and Vicky didnt! As they are wusses!

On friday we went to see Christ the Redeemer. We had to climb a million stairs to get to the statue and we actually felt like we were going to die. Was brilliant when we go to the top though as the views over the whole of Rio were incredible. We could really see the divide between the rich and the poor. The ´rich´neighbourhoods of Copacabana and Ipanema on one side and then the favelas on the other. That night we went to a street party in Lapa which was wicked. We had to go down an alley nicknamed piss alley to wee though which was a bit sick and in the end we decided to pay to pee in a shop. Ended up in a club that played loads of dance music which we loved, especially Rob! We went out at like half 12 that night though and got in about 4! We had to sleep in the evening to get ourselves through it, but was defo worth it as was awesome.

On saturday we went to the Maracana Stadium to watch the local team Flamengo play. They won 5 - 0 which was good and really made the atmosphere at the stadium. The fans did not stop singing the whole way through the game and by the end we were singing along as well!!

On sunday we went to a hippie market and got some little souvenirs (some of you lucky people might get something!!) and then walked along Ipanema beach, which is next to Copocabana beach. It looked really lovely and the sea did not look as rough as Copa so we decided to go on monday, which was wicked as we actually got to SWIM in the sea. Instead of drowning in the waves and not being able to get past them!

Thats really all we´ve been up to. Our new hostel is pretty quiet and is a lot cheaper the Mellow Yellow so we´re finally catching up on our sleep. Looking forward to getting to Peru now though. Will update again soon when we have the time.
