QUICK STOP BANGKOK!

Wednesday night...

Wow.... me and the girls had a quick stop over in BK and, despite the dramas of HK, did not waste any time. Having taken what seemed like hours to get through the makeshift terminal at Bangkok (just grateful we got there!!) we hunted down one of Kathryn's previous haunts. They had room for us and we dumped our stuff and headed out for a quick beer before hitting the sack.

Thursday...

We woke up and we jumped in a tuk tuk to take us to Wat Pho, a buddhist temple in the middle of Bangkok. We then headed for Siam City for some shopping essentials, via a very strange jewellery making workshop (the idea of our driver!) Being it rush hour, the best way back to our room was by motorbike taxi... Kathryn and I jumped on with a big fat man, whilst Zoe got the leaner looking driver. No chance of beating them we thought. Apparently we were mistaken... as long as jumping red lights doesn't count as cheating!! Snooze u lose Zoe!! Back on Koh San Road, some more noodles and further purchasing of essential travelling items (Zoe bought more wooden jewellery!!) and we headed to the train station for our overnight sleeper train to Laos!

What was to come we had no idea... but with the 3 of us on a train for the next 12 hours.... what was there not to enjoy!!
