well been in thailand now for just over a week the journey from cambodia to bangkok was an experience in its self 6 hours on farm track roads on the oldest bus ever was just great fun arrived in bangkok tho just about in one piece didnt think it was possiable for the weather go get any hotter but appartly it was!! headed for the famous Khao San road where every backpacker in the world seems to be! i think this is pretty much the highlight of bangkok the whole road is full of bars, guesthouses and a market which sells everything from t-shirts to fried cockroaches!! stayed in bangkok for 4 days which was plenty of time to see the sights including the weekend market which i could have spend me entire budget in its ok i managed to control myself!! travelled up to chiang mai by bus over night to save abit of pennies on hostel, liked chiang mai alot better then bangkok a soon as we arrived its alot more chilled out and the weather is alot cooler actually rained a couple of times never seen rain like it tho its mad!! went on a three day hill tribe trek the day after was really good but quite hard work went elephant riding and rafting which were both mint! got to feed the elephants which was pretty cool tho ours seems more interested in ripping down half the hillside and eating that instead!! the two nights we were trekking we stayed in the hill tribes villages which ment sleeping on the floor of a hut on stilts basically, sounds abit mad but was a really good experience! they cooked our meals for us aswell so got to experience their local food! arrived back in chiang mai centre very wet and muddy managed to make ourselves look kind of presentable and went to watch thai boxing! not really into boxing but it was one of the best things weve seen on the travels so far! everythings goes in thai boxing so kicking, punching, anything they just knock each other out... was class!! travelling back down to bangkok tonight then onto koh samui for a week of relaxing on the beaches and then koh phangan for the full moon party so will update ya then xxxx ps heard the boros in the final will be defo watching that in koh samui!! Up the boro!!
