We left for Croyde today, which marked the beginning of our two weeks away.
Of course Florence and Lilia were fifteen minutes late to leave for the station...
The journey here was enjoyable; we saw the boys as they were on the same train and we all listened in depth to other passengers' conversations (and later recited them). We played a game where we had to guess our taxi driver's name and awkwardly we all guessed men's names and it turned out to be a woman.
Helen's house is so nice and big. When we got here we unpacked quickly and then went for a quick walk on the beach before returning to the house in time for our food delivery. The food delivery was absolutely huge (12 crates) and it certainly didn't look like we were only here for five days. We had a nice dinner of pasta bakes eaten outside. After dinner we went in the pool and jacuzzi with a couple of beers and ciders with Billy- who is staying in Croyde with his mum. Everyone was in high spirits so we all had such a fun evening- arguably the best for a long while. Before we went to bed we did a little sing song with the guitar (that nobody could play). We were outrageous (in particular Emma and Florence's unique singing voices) but it was definitely a laugh.
Hopefully the rest of the holiday will be as good as today was!!
