It's took us 24 hours and god knows how many buses and bagsof crisps but we might have found bethesda!! Koh samui is amazing the beach is gorgeous and we aren't getting hassled to death by Bangkokians :D. And we have our own room with its own bathroom!!! It its very own brick wall view and giant cockroach but we still love it. Anyway so the journey was a bit of a nightmare, we were picked up from the hostel in a minibus at 3 and just expected to be taken down in that but after an hour we were dropped off at another hostel place and just told 6oclock. Do we sat a waited and just watched poor Skagrat the dog who had been ran over so many times had a permanent tegteh leg :( and was the scruffiest dog ever, it licked its own poo off the floor. Anyway so 6oclock came and we were led out of the hostel and given stickers and put with a group of other backpackers and then led through a thai boxing gym (I thought we were getting led off to be killed tbh) and then through alleyways and stuff and out into a main road with even more backpackers and huuuuge double deckers buses so we were buzzing. We were hassled onto our bus and after swapping seatings...and swapping them again :3 I was comfy enough and we set off for 11hours worth of no sleep, a VERY irritating italian man infront of us and pins and needles. We stopped off for food and drink and set off for another 3 hours to get to Surat Thani where we were dropped off and just left in a bus station. no explanation, the driver just got straight back into his bus and drove off leaving us veryyyyy confused at 5 in the morning. The toilets were just a potty on the floor and there was no one but us (us being all the backpackers) about so we were quite worried. But we got to watch the sunrise on the pier which was gorgeous and got talking to some girls who said that there should be a bus picking us up at half 7, which did come but was so full we couldn't get on so we had to wait for the next one which was an old rickety thai one so we waited for the next one which was a bit better but still smelt like something had died in it. Then we got to our boat! We got to sit on top around the sides and hang our legs over and the view was amzing, just sat and watched island after island pass by till we got to our own. The heat was immense and I managed to get the patchiest most english sunburn known to man, typically. We got into our taxi that we had booked and finally after being quite lost and get our hopes up massively by driving up to the poshest hotel on the island we got to our little guesthouse which we love. So we did our washing (exciting) and passed out exhausted then when we woke up 4 hours later confused as to how it had happened we went for a walk to the beach which is like 2 minutes away! And fell in love with it so we plan to go back today and spend alllll day there trying desperately to get a tan for you all to be jealous of :).
