We were on a quest to find a particular bar that we'd read about and it led us through some student-type neighborhoods well away from the tourist area. It was nice to see parts of the city that were predominantly local in their demographics. It made us feel a little more connected to Berlin. We found the bar and it was filled with students and a bartender who was not very cheerful. The draw of the place was that it is decorated like a really poorly decorate living room, complete with ugly sofas and so on. It didn't ultimately live up to expectations.
