Glad you had a lovely time with Alex and Terence - was a shame we couldn't have been with you for an anniversary gathering of bride and bridesmaids!
Don't think you've missed much not seeing the pickled people ... urgh! We resisted that sight too!
All well here - looking forward to the weekend!
Take care,

Hi, its me again! (sorry)
Just to clarify... Its not that I don't normally like Mutti's roast potatoes, its more that I'm not a fan of spuds, in general. However, if I was to consume some then, of course, Mutti's would be my first choice!
Byeee!

HELLO Danny and Bethy!!
Thanks for the wonderful postcard :-) It brought a smile to my rain-soaked, ldn-pollution-breathing face. Ah... (in the words of Madge) "H-O-L-I-D-A-Y!"... what's that again?...
And did I hear presents? Ooh! What could they possibly be?... Nothing too heavy/bulky,... Nothing too expensive... Hmm... As long as its not of the canine variety!
Mat and I are off to portugal soon. Sadly though, its mostly for work, not play. I've got a conference out there but as its bank holiday we plan to make a long weekend of it. Maybe we'll see some sunshine, possibly eat an ica-crema (or two, or three, or...).
Via the magic of stalkbook I see you've been tucking into Frosties and sipping builders Danny! Whenever Mat and I were travelling, I'd have dreams about Mutti's roast potatoes. No kidding! (and I can take 'em or leave 'em normally). What are you missing Bethy? Or no foodstuffs perhaps? (probably warm water, feeling `clean', a bath tub,...). Maybe its just another symptom of the routine-loving, uncomfortable-with-change Thorney in us Danny?!
Take care peeps (and remember, `Don't Eat Pork!').
Chat soon,
Oodles (not noodles!) of love,
c x

Hello Dan (& Beth) it sounds a wonderful trip. I can only boast 5 days in Minehead plus 10 of lazing around at home in Essex as a summer holiday this year. I've just taken advantage of a quiet spell at the office to go through 3 months of your blogs. India sounds much as I remember it from 5 months ago. China sounds as if it has changed a lot though I was there only for 8 days in 1988, but managed to visit both Beijing & Xian. I didn't walk much of the Great Wall but almost got arrested on it (for smoking)! Hope you are surviving the diet and the insect bites. Look forward to seeing you when you return. Trevor
