Hey Indian Dan !
I am off work - on sick leave - finally got there ! You sound like you are having a great time - funny(?) that most of your messages have a reference to food - no bricks for you at the moment eh? Once I am fit, I am off to Cyprus and then on to Turkey - nothing to rival your travels or suntan tho'! All the chaps here say hi - life in dear old LCID has not changed ! (don't come back - nothing personal you understand!)

Hey y'all,
I'm currently in Bangalore following a couple of nights in the friendly village of Hampi (some photos now being uploaded very slowly at long last!) which I enjoyed much more than overated Goa, despite the arrival of the Monsoon!
Doesn't seem to be much to see here and I wandered round a couple of historical places but the most interesting thing seems to be the massive amount of pizza huts/McDonalds etc - I'll probably succumb to a Maharaja Mac after this miniblog but shall be sure to let you know how it compares to the real McCoy.
Next posting could be from Alleppey, Kerala if my waiting list train ticket magically changes into an actual seat. Fingers crossed.
Check out the latest photos and keep your eyes peeled for more.

Hey Danny,
Wish I were doing whatever you're doing right now! ...Just heard from estate agents (boo!) that the offer we put in on a place LAST WEEK has been rejected by the landlady (booooo!). We now have TEN DAYS to find a home... Hence my facebook status! Hope you're day's going better than mine,

p.s. How about a new blog posting to cheer us all up?

Now then DT,
It's good to see my home country has been so accomadating to a Ben sherman, white trainer wearing hooligan, and that you have not started any fights yet.
I would have thought you'd have been sold a few belts by now which is all I remeber about my last visit. God they have the belt selling market covered big time.
How's the food treating you? I imagine you usual footballers diet has given in to grease induced aloo puri, and samosa's?
Anyways I need to get back to Sky Sports news as think Joey Barton is going to Newcastle and Scotty parker is off to join your rabble in west Ham. Hmm Sky Sports News, now that's real character building...

I hope/expect you're off to Panaji as your first stop off in Goa. It's so incredibly different there to Mumbai, and you'll find it a huge relief to be in this tranquil laid-back place after the chaos of car-crazy Mumbai. (But did you go to the Hanging Garden, Gandi's house, the Tower of Silence (where dead Parsi people are left to be eaten by vultures), and the university, and the outdoor laundries?) And are you wearing Indian clothes yet?! I'm sure you look great, although maybe a bit hippyish.
Anyhow, Panaji is beautiful. The streets around the central city are narrow, and all the buildings are southern-European style. Thankfully, the whole of Goa was occupied by the Portuguese for 400-odd years instead of the bloody English, so the buildings look like something our Lisbon or Madrid, and there are lots of mosaics, fountains etc.
But if you're looking for a good beach, check out Palolem Beach, which is right at the bottom of the Goa coast - about two hours south of Panaji. It's said to be the most beautiful beach and relatively undeveloped and touristy. And a good place to stay there is Bhakti Kutir, which is set back off the beach in a jungle and is very peaceful and quiet, with yoga, meditation, massage etc.... But there's also really cool cheap beachside bamboo shack on stilts, so you can go from the bedroom straight into the water. The beach is also interesting because there are parrots, dogs, cats, pigs and cows roaming around, and they all seem to co-exist with each other and the humans.
I look forward to hearing where you end up.
