Except for occasional rain a great ride today. Meeting friends along the road while enjoying majestic scenery. Had the best breakfast of the trip about 70 miles west of Watson Lake, in the Rancheria Valley at the Rancheria Lodge and Restaurant. Trust us, the name is much fancier than the establishment...but the food was outstanding and the people friendly. Saw one black bear today along the roadway, probably the closest one to us yet...and he was licking his chops and looking closely at Bernie as we slowly drove by...and no...we did not stop for pictures! Rode about 280+ miles today, bringing our total to somewhere in the vicinity of 3,616 miles in 11 days. Tomorrow we cross the border into Alaska and stay in Tok, Alaska, in a small cabin on the premises. (Jeff, does this sound familiar from staying in Cody Wyoming on our trip to California?)

Joe Fincher Glad to here your trip is going so well. I have a nephew in Alaska. My brother pulled his travel trailer out a couple times from Ga. Beautiful country but they said roads got much worse. Glad your seeing lots of wildlife. Travel safely...
